 OUR APPROACH

LVMA Logo

Often times, when people hear ‘martial arts’, they think punch, kick, defend. At Lehigh Valley Martial Arts (LVMA), it’s so much more than that. We feel that mental and emotional development is just as important as self-defense and discipline.

Confidence

CONFIDENCE

Often times, when people hear ‘martial arts’, they think punch, kick, defend. At Lehigh Valley Martial Arts (LVMA), it’s so much more than that. We feel that mental and emotional development is just as important as self-defense and discipline.

Self Discipline

SELF DISCIPLINE

Developing self-discipline allows us, as individuals, to tackle difficult tasks and be successful without questioning our ability or self-worth. Martial arts teaches self-control and how to remove bad influences in order to succeed in pursuing positive, realistic goals.

Leadership

LEADERSHIP

Leadership is a cornerstone of martial arts training. Our first lesson at the school is to lead by example. Students are expected to complete certain tasks, both in the school as well as outside the dojo, to practice their leadership.

Respect

RESPECT

Being polite is more than just good manners, it can also build mutual respect, admiration and friendships. A disciplined environment encourages this behavior. Showing reverence for others is a skill that should be taught early because it is something that is carried throughout all facets of life.

Martial Arts

We offer Karate training at our 5 locations for ages 3 and up! Students learn more than punches and kicks; we teach our students how to use the values of martial arts training to make themselves more successful people. Students learn both a form of exercise with a deeper connection stemming from concentration and self-discipline.

Martial Arts

Tai Chi

We offer Tai Chi classes for children and adults! Tai Chi is designed to help you increase health and reduce stress caused by daily life. Tai Chi is completely beginner friendly and requires no experience or fitness level! Great for balancing physical and mental strength.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

We take a unique approach to martial arts training. No matter the skill level or age, we teach students to balance both mind and body. This is where the true roots of this sport live.

For more than 20 years, our team has taught the most comprehensive range of martial arts skills and styles to people of every age in the Lehigh Valley. Students work alongside experienced Martial Arts and Tai Chi specialists, all committed to the unique goals of each student.

 Community Involvement

At LVMA, the values that we teach and the impact that we have on our students go far beyond the mat. LVMA strives to also help make a difference in our community by supporting local nonprofits in the Lehigh Valley. Two of our favorites nonprofit organizations are The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley and Sights for Hope.

When a parent hears the words “your child has cancer,” their world is forever altered. PCFLV is able to immediately step in and offer assistance and support to the entire family. PCFLV embraces the pediatric cancer journey alongside children and their families, moving forward as a community with love, hope and smiles.

Sights for Hope transforms the lives of people with visual impairments in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley and Monroe County by removing the barriers to their independence and success. Services include life skills education, technology solutions, individualized support, vision screenings for children, and community education programs – promote self-sufficiency and inclusion.
